ABOUT THIS STATION
Award-winning films and series exploring the universal drama of war: the battles and military campaigns that have shaped our politics and social history, the leaders and soldiers who took up arms to fight, sometimes defying all odds. The History and Warfare collection spans the sweep of human experience, from the conflicts that dominated ancient Rome and Greece to the wars of succession that gave rise to modern Europe, to the great world wars of the 20th century. It tackles core questions of history: why leaders and soldiers picked up arms to fight, what new technologies determined outcomes, how the tragedies and triumphs of history’s great battles shaped our world.
